TUESDAY
Got to North Syd at 7:30 to get to Combined choir, lol. Still managed to make it back to the Observatory before 9:30 though. We were supposed to be there early to go to the Powerhouse, but Geoff's meeting got moved forward, so he ended up leaving before we got there. But oh well, still brilliant.
Us four got split up after that, I got to tag around with Andrew (AJ) for the tours, he's so freaking nice. As in, so freaking nice, I swear I'm like half in love, he's THAT nice. I'm only joking about that though, lol. I'm not that depraved. hehe...
We got another tour today of about 70 kids, and we got a kid with a wheelchair. AJ brought out a telescope for the kids to look at ouside instead, and we got to stalk people again. ;DD
Afterwards, AJ got all the kids inside for the 3D movie, he gave me 1/2 hour to play with the telescope myself. WOOOHOOO!!! Soo happy~!!!
He also let me swirl around the planetarium for a bit also, so freaking awesome! We had a brilliant time spotting the different constellations and stars in the sky. Orion, Scorpius, Crux, Canis Major and even Ursa Major. Oh, and the 'Flying Emu', which is actually only made up of the black spaces between the Milky Way, and can ONLY be seen in Aus. Haha...
After the tours, we split into pairs again and checked the entire observatory for 'hazards' that could be potentially dangerous. Random fireplaces everywhere, and their low counters actually gave me bruises because of their dodgy positioning... *writes down hazard*
We then had lunch, and Aberjeet and Charlie taught me and Evangeline how to play checkers, lol. It was funny watching both try and kill each other, only to have them go on a 'Cat and Mouse' chase across the board, lol.
After, we went up to the top of the Observatory and we watched Charlie drop the time ball at exactly 1 pm. it was awesome, but the stairs to get up there were so scary. They were more like ladder rungs than stairs actually, I had a bit of trouble getting down...I was too scared...lol. Tomorrow, we're going up there again...except we go outside onto the very tippy top, where we apparently get the best view in Sydney. I need to bring camera. :DD
Lazed around after that, doing random research on constellations for a report we have to give in afterwards, but overall, it's all good. xDD
Another brilliant dayy~!!!
Ahh...
